Her tenure at the East African Civil Society Organisations’ Forum (EACSOF) – Kenya Chapter, showcases her commitment to social development and policy implementation.

Driving Policy Change

As the National Coordinator for EACSOF-K, Stephanie played a pivotal role in fostering accountability mechanisms within the Kenyan government. She supported the national dialogue process under the East African Community (EAC) Consultative Dialogue Framework, enhancing the state’s implementation of policies on rule of law, democratic governance, and human rights.

Promoting Regional Integration

Stephanie’s efforts extended to liaising with the EAC Secretariat and various stakeholders to ensure effective participation of civil society organizations (CSOs) in regional integration matters. Her coordination led to the successful planning of the 2022 EAC Secretary General’s Forum, which facilitated discussions on critical regional issues.

Ending Gender-Based Violence

Under Stephanie’s leadership, EACSOF-K implemented programs to combat Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and violence against women and girls. Her work saw the establishment of the first regional Gender-Based Violence Working Group, harmonizing efforts to address GBV across East Africa.
